Traveler, someone did post an awful comment yesterday, and their thoughts.com account was deleted. This is not acceptable at any times. However, this person was not attacking kentlass personally. They were attacking anybody and everybody they wanted to. When this happens our team deletes such individuals.
We need everyone to please stop flaming the fires with counterproductive comments. Things are now under control, so if everyone will please calm down and take a deep breath this issue will be done with.

your welcome… we will soon have in place a software solution to eliminate this problem in the first place. until then, we are manually deleting unnecessary flags.

Hi Rajah1116, We are working on a solution to fix most of these flagging issues. In the mean time, we have dedicated more time for our staff to remove the unnecessary flags manually. As for the flagging feature itself, it is needed becomes sometimes people will post racist agendas, hateful posts, pornographic material, or simple internet spam. All of this is inappropriate and does not belong on thoughts.com. This feature helps to eliminate it from the site leaving us with a forum for genuine discussions. Thanks for your feedback!

We already know who flagged the post as long as they are logged in. However, people can flag posts if they are not logged so this causes an issue. Maybe we should change this. Regarding Wayne's idea in Vegas, it is a great idea and we will be implementing a similar solution very soon.

This is a great idea... We have been meaning to do something like this, but with the server move right now we are trying not to do any new additions to the site. We will have something similar in place after the move... Thanks stickman :)

Traveler... if the CATEGORIES do not return to normal after the move, please send us an error report at that time and we will fix them right away. Until the server move is complete, we are trying not to mess with too many items...

We have been so focused on getting rid of the real junk, that we were not putting in as much time necessary to remove the unnecessary flags from the real posts. Hi marathongal, we are moving, but before we make a complete transition everything must be in place first, or we could face the same issues on the new servers. Thoughts.com is growing rapidly and our current servers are not as powerful as the new ones we will be moving to. If you get too frustrated with the server response, take off for a couple of weeks and then come back to us. Once our move to new servers is complete you will be happy... Thanks for your patience.

Hi Rajah1116, As long as you are not promoting businesses, hatred, or schemes then it can stay on the site. If the post is for the eyes of people 18 or older only, then it will likely get flagged, but it will remain on the site. Just with a flagged warning... No worries :)
