| Holly Starts the First Conversation
|
|
|
My name is Holly. That's enough for now.
I don't know what things matter the most in general.
I do know what things matter the most to me.
Well.
There's a self-centered way to begin a conversation with . . . who?
Am I beginning a conversation with myself?
Is it with you?
I don't even know who you are.
Yes. I am beginning a conversation with myself.
How very . . . echo-y.
Instantly my thoughts turn to my sister Lynn.
She gets me.
Usually.
And when she doesn't get me, it's okay.
In fact,
that's when it's
the BEST,
because after all -
don't we all want to be
"gotten"
(accepted)
when no one,
really,
is
totally sure about
where we're coming from,
but -
BUT!!!
They love us
(accept us)
anyway?
Lynn!
Now it's your turn.

Hey Holla, you brought tears to my eyes when I saw that your original user name was hollylynntucker. I set up my account as lynnhollytucker, and then you made me change it. MOM!!! She made me!! Anyway, I love you with all my heart and I'm also very crabby because I have a huge presentation tomorrow with a national prospective client and I need sleep. You know us Tucker girls, we need our sleep. Hey, I've been meaning to ask you, how's the WiFit thing or whatever?
I love you HOLLA!! (for anyone reading, I do have the most talented, loving, effusive, goofy, intelligent, opinionated, funny to the point of insane sister on the planet and if you mess with her I'll tell your mom)

Okay, by the way, Holly and I have been on the phone philosophising and pontificating and everything else since my last blog....five minutes ago...but, hey we talk fast. Runs in the family. (I talk fastest) Bottom line, at the end of the day, no matter how perfect we all are, or strive to be, we are all messed up. We want perfect kids, we fear having children that are imperfect...to the point of destroying them before they can be born. It's crazy, because no matter what, each and every child and person is DESTINED TO BE imperfect, either in character, physical being, aptitude, mental health. And why? Because if we weren't imperfect, we'd be Jesus Christ, and we wouldn't need Jesus Christ because we'd be Him. And boy, when I look at it this way I am GRATEFUL that we are so messed up.
Good night. Got that presentation tomorrow. xo
