Okay, while at the post office today I realized that several people don't know about the forever stamp. It is a stamp that you can buy anytime at the rate of the current postage, it is only available on sheets of 20~~not in a roll and because it says forever you can use it anytime in the future-no matter what the cost of stamps are.
ie.
You buy a book now and pay 42 cents a stamp. You loose the book and they are never to be found......until you are moving 15 years from now. Whenever you find them, they say forever on the stamp and even though stamps may now be 84 cents each, you can still use them to mail your first class letter and it's value has now increased by 100%.
They only come in one design and they feature a liberty bell, so don't think you will have a selection to choose from, just ask for a book of forever stamps and never worry about having to add extra postage because the rate went up. Now that's a deal! |
