| This has been a hot topic in General Discussion lately. See thread "Teens and sex". This study cited by HM1 gives young adults many more reasons to observe abstinence. People in the debate generally say this will never happen. No man can foretell the future. There could be an incredible event not too long from now where young people share horror stories and there starts a great time of "awareness and intelligence." And teens start to marry at a young age before they start to have sex. |

| During my teenage years in 1960s, we teenagers did not have enough time for dating, even more for sex. After school, our life was loaded with home works and we have to study for the next day tests or reviews. So our teenage years were nothing but study, study and study. |

Frat Guys always tell stories about freshmen girls. LOL. I'm sure this study will be a good sell for the new imunization shot that the gov't is trying to encourage all school aged girls to get considering that the main STD that is most prevelant is the one that causes cervical cancer.
It's too bad that times have brought us to this. The sixties opened up the sexual revolution and it has never ended. From that revolution came a whole host of trouble. Aids, cervical cancer. But Before that, and something the previous generation fails to admit, syphilis was the big one. So this is nothing new. STD's have been around since sex. Unfortunately humans only pretend to be prudish. But the truth is, we are as much the animals as any other beast. |
