your choice... you pick it and decide for yourself. I refuse to be your influence...because with free will comes free choice to decide how you will interpret anything. I only present the facts. So "we're" not talking about anything. If you agree...then so be it. If you disagree...then so be it too. But I will never be responsible for the choices you make to either agree or disagree. And that my friend is called freedom...or free will.

Longshoremen to close ports on West Coast on 2008-04-11 05:53:07 |

when you shut down an entire coast, with all its commerce, it will hurt everyone...but I agree, it should be longer. Like a month or two...or as long as it takes for the madness of Iraq to become settled.

In response to your question that you posted to my blog...I spend a grat deal of time reseaching various news sources outside of mainstream media. The articles that I post are written by numerous news correspondants throughout the world. These post to a clearinghouse. Each article is listed with the authors name and a copywrite notice that gives the author credit for the article. Apart from that, I also quote people who have made statements down through history in an attemp to show that what our world is now experiencing is an age old condition of our own humanity spelled out in voices from our past and escalating rapidly.
In the New Testament of the Bible it states that in the end time, as it was in the days of Noah.people will be eating and drinking, MArrying and being given in marriage. So too will it be for the coming of the Son of Man. Well that certainly sounds begnign as we humans have always done those things. However, in the story of Noah it doesn't say these things but rather that the world was filled with violence and corruption. If you put the two parts of the Bible together what it says is that people will be going about their business as though the world was not filled with the violence and corruption that it is. In general, this is nothing short of apathy towards the violence and corruption of the day. My effort is to educate an otherwise apathetic population that there is so much violence and corruption in our world that we all dare not be apathetic towards it lest we see the judgement on our own society that seems to simply move about as if nothings happening. Our own apathy may very well become our downfall.
I hope this answers your question.

Even Christ called the Pharisees "sons of the devil, hypocrates, blind guides and and a host of other names. So perhaps you can tell me a bit more about what being a Christian is all about. One of my pet peeves is the vanity I find in this world today. People who strain at a gnat, but swallow a camel.

Thanks for your comment on my poem. By the way...I'm Greek, from a huge Greek restaraunt family. I have 5 brothers and 6 sisters if you can imagine that. So it was really funny when I read your blog. By the way, I don't cook anymore. Instead me and two of my brothers are in the painting business. If you can imagine that from a bunch of Greeks...LOL

you me and much of the world. To admit a mistake is difficult. It requires humbleness. And that's something that empire builders are always short on being blinded by their desire for more power. Our administration is moving ahead with their empire at a faster pace than ever before. We would not need all these defensive moves if our foreign policies took into consideration the soveirnty of other peoples. But instead it's based on capitalism and corporate greed. Until we Americans begin to own up to that, we will continue to get the kind of government we deserve.

Oil Rises on 2008-04-04 06:31:29 |

I think I agree also. The regulations helped build the monopolies...and why sell domestic oil when it was so cheep. Now that prices are up there, our refineries are working at full capacity. And while big oil is raking in billions in profits, they still enjoy as much as 18 billion in tax breaks at the publics expense.

We've lost our ideals by continuing this charade. Our administration is planning yet another war. We've turned away from what it means to be an American by continuing to commit ourselves to a lie simply to save face. And what the world thinks of us is continuously turning more rotten. And this is the result of continuing our commitment. To admit to the world our error, pull away from the mistake, recompense our victims, and ask for forgiveness may be an alternate solution. But not for a proud and arrogant people.

the good are always trampled on. What we have to learn is why we try to be so good to others. For us...or for them...or simply because God has made us who we are. Let those who trample upon our wilderness bear the scars that they have put upon our soul.
