If we stopped trying to bend them to western will and removed our troops their would be a great change towards stability for that region. It would mean however, that U.S.corporations no longer would control the oil. Their national interests are not the national interests of the U.S. and therefore count as nothing. This policy is the destabilizing force in that region.

That's one more vote for truth. I believe that if any wars are to be fought, that truth should be its cause. Because without truth to lead the way, all other values are doomed to fail

Drug Testing & The Student Athlete on 2007-12-30 07:34:48 |

Amen... but let's not stop there. I have to be drug tested in order to keep my job...as a painter no less. Let's test all who whold any type of positions of authority and whose lives and lifestyles are critical to the financial wellbeing of others. I once worked for a contractor who ordered random drug testing of his employees. His business went bankrupt and all employees lost their jobs. Why?...because this guy ran the business into the ground because of a crack cocaine habit!!!!

My only question is...why has congress sat on their hands for so long. Why have they not held accountable those with so much blood on their hands. And this includes our own administration. The majority did not vote them in in 2000. Why are they there...still? Their abuse of power and their weakening of our constitution with its "inalienable" rights which these have sworn to uphold are certainly grounds for impeachment. Their continued support of men like Musharef is a winow into their own plans for this world and the "New Order" they seek.

Not only eliminate funding...but begin and complete a pullout...finish that first...and then begin a reconciliation, which refers to true repentance which the Iraqi's and the Muslim world do understand. This is not simply handing out dollars, but changing a policy that has raped these people of who they are as a nation. Sit down in earnest, and get to know their culture...embrace them as a diversity to our own human race...give them the tools necessary apart from guns and bullets to rebuild themselves as freely as they desire to be built...or as religiosly controlled as they desire to be. Let it be their own choice whether to follow the freedoms we in the U.S. have. Not at the end of a spear, but as our revolutionary fathers taught us, by choice and desire for...or against. Not to confuse them with fluff and false prosperity...but according to the conscience thought of their own people. Love does not impose or compel...but is allowed according to freewill. We (America) are the same definition of a terrorst nation in the eyes of a soveirgn nation such as Iraq...as we might only vainly consider the ideology that governs that region, but might rather attempt it to be sown in the western worlds way.

Shanon...sweetie...you are as vain as your picture...my response had nothing really to do with "theamandachronicles" but more to do with his favor of the one eyed jack bastard who took a woman's cry for help and trashed it. So pleeeeeze!!! What can we offer missylynn. Merry Christmas!

Christianity also teaches acceptance...and that one is not Christian outwardly...but inwardly. Had this young lady gotten to know you better, she may have found in you more Christian qualities than she wore...on her sleeve. Even if you were unable to acknowlede these qualities as being Christian in yourself A tree is not known by its name...but by the fruit it bears. Far too many who call themselves Christian do not exhibit the qualities necessary that entitles them to that name. They do things...invoking God's name...but never understand that the Hebrew meaning for "name" is "Character". Do they do their things in God's "character?" many times not!!!
God so the the world...and that's all of us and especially the sinner who knew he was a sinner and only desired forgiveness for his/her shortcomings. He accepted all who felt this way.

Perhaps insecurity and low self-esteem comes from far too much and too critical self examination. Sometimes it's better to let be what will be and not try to figure out why it is. Because along with that trying can come many reasons why it shouldn't be if we look too long and hard...the same thing with critical self examination. Just accept that your boyfriend loves you and stop being too critical of why. Certainly their may be others who share your qualities...but they might not carry them or present them as uniquely as your boyfriend sees them in you. That may be the reason he chose to love you...simply for the unique way that you present the gifts that God made you. He may also love you simply because that love returns to him from you. Stop complcating it kiddo.

Once trust is gone...it can never be fully regained...let your insticts take over and move on. The feelings will pass and one day you will be left with nothing more than sad memories...but that is better than deceiving yourself. Be true to you.
