I find myself sitting at this computer reading people's ramblings and reading people vent. And I wonder, what drives us to care about what other people have to say? DO I honestly want to read about what catfood you gave to your cat today or that your frog was run over by a drunk turtle? And the answer is yes, absolutely. It's nice to read other blogs and realize, whoa this person in finland is similar to me, similar struggles and all. But what drives us to want to know. Is it our media frenzy. Let me just add by the way that the coverage of Paris Hilton in jail pissed me off. People get killed in Iraq, children are starving in Africa and other third-world countries and we're celebrating the fact that Paris is out of jail after COMMITING A CRIME!!! Hello, she drove drunk on a suspended liscense. It's nice to know where our morals lie here in america. But I digress, I like to read other people's blog because of the insatiable need to know, simply to know. I could care less what it is but I like to informed even if it is something menial. But sometimes the best news is what appears to be trivial. But anyways I'm done. I'm pretty sure I'm off track from whereI started and I probably sound like a ranting lunatic that's talking about nothing and saying more than the person who is talking about something

i also like reading about what other people have to say. and you're right, our news in the us is totally out of wack. i first realized this after traveling internationally a few times and seeing the rest of the world's global news perspective that we are often lacking.
