I believe that God will hear any prayer, no matter how you do it, as long as it comes from your heart. Do the best you can, and He will meet you at your level.

Mormons believe in a simple method of prayer:

1. Address God. We usually start with “Our Father in Heaven” or “Dear Heavenly Father”, but any respectful address is fine.
2. Thank God. We generally start by thanking God for specific blessings like “thank you that our family can be together today” or “thank you for your help with ——-”, etc.
3. Ask God. The scriptures say “ask and ye shall receive”. We believe you can ask for anything, such as “please bless us with safety” or “bless our daughter to be well”.
4. Close in the name of Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus Christ is our mediator with the Father, and that all of our prayers should be in His name.
