I was really a little kid when I watched Roy Rogers and Dale Evans on TV and even then it was into it's hundredth rerun.  They would go after the bad guys and fight and jump off horses and roll off mountains and never get their beautiful western outfits dirty.  When your "right" nothing will get you dirty and the audience will always stand up and cheer and kids will idolize you and grown ups will use you to site examples of honesty and fair play.  Where do we find these hero's today?  The NFL and Baseball with champions like Mike Vick?  Professional sports in this country has more drugs than some South American countries.  Hero's in our leaders??  Washington??  Hero's on Wall Street??  Hero's that guide the mighty corporate ships of this country??  Fathers long time split and forgotten??  Union warped perverted teachers??  We are burying the last of our true hero's as they die by the hundreds every day from World War II.  There's no room any more in our politically correct....take care of the useless....censor the books....pray to the lawyers running on empty society.  I sound like an absolute cynic, I know, but I have witnessed, read, heard and ingested all this grief during the last 5 years with the worst being now.  How do I sit my two teen sons down and tell them not to have any dreams during their life time thanks to their country's leadership.  There are no heros...except in reruns.
