I think it's time that the government and polices forces all over take " drinking and driving ". alot more serious then they do now.
Last month a young couple out for dinner on their fifth wedding anniversary were hit head on by a drunk driver.
As I watched the news covering their funeral they showed their small daughter. She didn't know what was happining.
The driver that hit them had over three times the allowable limit of booze in his system.
It was his first offence so it won't be all that bad. BULLSHIT!!!!!
He murdered two people. And his car was the murder weapeon.
It should be a muder charge he is facing and there is no agruement out there that will convince me differently.
The very least is he goes to jail for two to five years. His car in impounded for that time. When he gets out he pays the impound fee.
Should he be not able to afford it, too bad, so sad.
He should also lose his right to drive for another five years when he gets out.
If the car was not his, then the owner should have to pay a set fee to get their car back. Hopefully this will prevent people from lending their cars to drunks.
Many people need their cars for employment purpose's.
I guess this could cause some real problems for those drivers . Too damm bad.
Far too many times, people get drunk and then try to drive. Far too many times.
If your drunk and you hit someone while driving and hurt them, that attempted murder. If you should killed them, its murder, no ands, ifs or buts.
It is what it is, MURDER.
