Laughter, the best " cure all " for depression. No need to run to the store and it doesn't cost a dime. Just move your mouth till the corners touch your ears and your cured, at least for the short term.
I'm a introvert. I hold things inside me. I don't show my unhappiness to those looking at me. In short, I hide it well. Too well at times that when I do " let go " its almost out of control.
When I was younger I used sports to vent my unhappiness. The reasons for being unhappy I'll go into another time.
I used to work really hard a my practices and during the games. One of my football coaches once said about me that " I played every game like it was my last or like it was the championship game.
In my late teens, I became a band member. I played drums.
Boy did I ever hit those "skins".
They was no need to "mike " my drums siince I could beat louder then the" mikes" would make them sound. The only trouble with that was, I was going through too many pairs of drumsticks every night. So I invested in a set of sonic drums. They were still loud but easlier on my " sticks".
In my adult life is where the problem lies. Gone are the games of my youth. Gone are the drums of my teens.
I have had to come up with a method of dealing with my unhappiness so I wouldn't have it consume me.
My method is through humor and or laughter. But not mine, yours.
If I can make you laugh, make you smile, make you giggle then by doing that I help myself.
However if I'm they one doing the laughting, giggling, smiling then it could be just a " mask " I'm wearing to fool you so you don't really see how I'm feeling.
A singer by the name of Johnny Rivers sang a song called " tracks of my tears ".
In the song there is a line " my smile is my make-up ".
So if you see me with a " big ass grin ", you may wonder, is he really happy or is he " hiding it well."

How sad for you templar...I laugh and giggle all the time. And if I am unhappy I just hang out at home. No need to lie to myself if I can't happy...Don't you know the saying IF MOMMA AIN'T HAPPY, AIN'T NOBODY HAPPY? And so I learned only I can make me happy in all things...Smile more and take off that stupid mask and as Dr.Phil would say GET REAL...... I think we need to talk.....Life is all about choices.......
