Being a member of the Lions Club we give and do a number of things for these children. I've met a number of them and it never fails to leave me somewhat "humbled" by them.
If I could wave my "magic wand"....well I think you might be able to guess what I was going to say.

I used to spend far too much time worrying about yesterday.
Then I "woke up". Why should I worry about things that I cannot change no matter how much I worry ?
So now I try to lay the "ground work" today so my tomorrow will be as good as it can be.
It doesn't always work but at least doing it this way I have a chance of succeeding. The other way, worrying about yesterday, there is no chance things will get any better.

I disagree with your statement where you say your "not creative" .
As for "not knowing how to put it together", horsefeathers. I'm not buying that for one minute.
Anyone can tell with what you do post, that you are truly a person with a good heart and a great love for people. So what do you have to put together?
You write whats in your heart and write what you feel. You write about things that please you and you write about things that annoy you.
I get a idea, I write the idea down, then later I put that idea into words which I post.
Stop selling yourself short.
You give yourself far too little credit.
People that sense the real you and will enjoy what you write because it reflects YOU.
So get in there, keyboard away till your fingers hurt. And no more of this "I'm not creative stuff", ok ?

When I'm weak and in need, I'm in trouble.
I keep my thoughts within me and I know thats not a good thing.
Even my lady has trouble getting " inside " me. I just go off somewhere where I'm alone with my thoughts and ponder them till I feel that I can move move forward again.
I tend not to bother any friends with my issues because I always feel they have their own stuff to deal with.
I do feel a bit better since I've joined this site.
Here I can vent, rant and rave or just express what I am feeling. In return, I can see if people have read my stuff even should they choose not to comment.
Those that do comment, I'm thankful for the feedback.

Somehow I just don't think I'll make the 200 by thursday. But I will try to make a dent in your " mandate " to me as best as I can.
I also share those words re: online friends.
Some, like you, I enjoy hearing from by either message or email or reading the thread posts or blogs.
Sadly, there are a few who I can predict what their content with be as soon as I see their user name.
Some, even more sadly, I 've placed on my ignore list because I find these people a complete waste of my time and serving no usefull purpose other then to offend and take away from the enjoyment of others.

I also have heard of those studies and I worked in the brewery industry for over 32 years so I've read some of them.
Perhaps they do reduce accidents but to get the "BEST " possible result, I still like the stiffer penalties and the lower blood levels as you would suggested.
You comment about the voting age limit is well taken.
Lets set the " adult age limit " and make it apply to all things, voting, drinking, fighting for this country etc.

Well I'm alot like you. I'm a private kinda person, like to keep to myself most of the time.
I find that in here I can put down my feelings, express my thoughts, state my opinions, get some feedback,also some advice. These things that I can't always get in the outside world.
Its also the place where I can rant about all things I find unfair.

First, you should never worry about what others think. Who really cares ?
Write what you want, write from your heart and the ones that matter will pick up on that.

The things you want, to me, are the basic things that every loving relationship should have in it. It should be there from the start, you should not have to go looking for it, dropping hints or spend time fretting about it.
There is a reason that your about to break free of him. That reason is simply, he's not the one for you.
But don't dispair. When you find the right one, you won't be writting blogs about him other then to tell us all just how great he is.

The most important person in your life is YOU, not him.
If being with him when he's like this is making you unhappy, do something about it. Give him the choice, its either you and no booze, or you'll hold the door open. Well I read it and I feel badly for you.
You need a "family " someone because of whats happened to you.
I would make contact with your sister and if she wants to be part of your life, set up some ground rules.
If she starts to slide away, well then you can always say you tried.
Go slowly at first and see what just what she wants out of contact with you.
But I would at least try. Don't let your pride or your past get in the way of some sort of family connection.

As far as "stepping on her toes ", perhaps you did cross the line however, your friend should know just why you did it, if you did it, and not be upset with you..She should also count her blessing that she has such a good friend in you.

I used a big smilie face with my blogger_53 name. I posted stuff in the general disscussion and Entertaiment -TV spot.
Later I switched to my current picture but still under the blogger name. After that it was my current name and picture that I'm using now.
