Face it, we all have them. Comfort Zones!
Recently, I embarked on a new journey in my life. It is one that I have dreamed of often, yet much to afraid to step out of my little comfort zone and try. Thanks to a few friends' encouraging words, and the wish and prayers of my beloved daughter I am now a coach for softball.
It is a dream I've always had. Growing up, I always had the best coaches. I had coaches that wanted to win, but more importantly, they wanted us to have fun and learn the fundamentals of ball. I am so thankful that I have the opportunity, and God given strength to reach out of my comfort zone, and be a coach to 11 girls. It's truly an amazing experience.
I've enjoyed every mistake made. Its an chance for me to help them become better as a team. I've enjoyed every hit, every walk, every stolen base, and every win. I find that I look forward to working with them at practice, and guiding them during the games. I look forward to a great season ahead!
It really is a challenge, to keep 11 kids on the same page for 1 1/2 hours. I'm not a teacher, and I have NO idea how school teachers do it.
So today I am reminded of one of my favorite scriptures:
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Phillipians 4:13
I can, and have stepped further than I thought I could. I entered into one of my dreams. I thank God for allowing it to become a reality. God is so good.
