With just a brief listen today, I heard Rush ranting and raving about how he didn't want "the government" to decide what doctors get paid and who gets medical treatment.   WELL, DUH, who does he think is dictating those things today?   It's the INSURANCE COMPANIES!
   Insurance executives, who have only a bachelor's degree (if even that much education) have been deciding FOR YEARS just how much doctors can charge, and even what procedures they can prescribe!   They have also been dictating, from day one, exactly WHO IS COVERED under the POLICIES THEY WRITE.   They have been CANCELING POLICIES when premium-paying patients (PPPs) file claims. 
  I  would MUCH PREFER having standardized government policies for EVERYONE, rather than continuing to allow the SELECTIVE, ARBITRARY decisions of the PROFIT-DRIVEN private insurance companies (who have been raking in huge fortunes despite their dictatorial, DISCRIMINATORY policies).
  I'll say it again:  Let the insurance companies continue to sell home, auto, and life insurance.   But for heaven's sake, GET THEM OUT OF THE HEALTH INSURANCE RACKET THEY CREATED!
