Dear love,

Thank you for being.  I know that life has ups and downs, but you help me weather the storm.  Together, we shelter each other and protect each other.  We are a team that no one can break.  I love you.  With each passing day my feelings are stronger.  I know that no one can pull us apart, and no circumstance can stand between us.

Your quirks may prove annoying at times, but I understand that they are what make you different from the rest, the reason why I love you.  I love everything about you, I always want to know more.  Some things you tell me may be off-putting, but I know that they are part of who you are, and I can accept that and love that part of you too.

You respect me.  I can proudly say that you have never abused me in any form.  I know it may be difficult sometimes when we fight, but thank you for containing your anger and speaking gently with me once we have both cooled down.  I'm glad we can communicate, even if it is hard for you to always speak your mind an feel open.  I value your opinions, even if they are not the same as my own.

Beyond the aspects of you that I love as a friend and companion, I do love you as a lover also.  You have the most captivating eyes.  I know I could stare at them endlessly, sometimes I do.  I look at you and feel such passion.  I always want to touch you: hold your hand, sit next to you, hug, kiss- anything that I can do to be closer to you.  Your kisses make me always wish we were alone together.  The way I can smell you when we kiss, the way you taste, how you feel, you engage all my senses.  Even the way your voice travels so that I can pick you out of a crowd.  The voice that will tell me "I love you".  The voice that will tell me "I want to make love to you".

Life will be difficult.  The divorce rates are through the roof in this generation.  Our odds are supposedly slim, but since we have found each other, there is no doubt that we will stay together.  Love is a give and take.  You give some, but recieve more, thus able to give more than before, this cycle creates an environment of caring and love, I know we can stay together.  We have enough love to bind us together, even through the tough times in life.

I don't know who you are yet.  Perhaps I've met you, perhaps not.  I know you are out there.  I know the experience is out there.  I know what it feels like to be in love, but he wasn't the right one.  You are.  I am willing to fight for you if you are willing to fight for me.  We will end up together, that is why we are soulmates.  I can't wait to meet you and find your true identity.
