This goes out to two guys in one night.
One is to my ex for being a general dumb-ass. And the other is to the wonderful guy who stood me up tonight.
Ex-boyfriend: thanks for not talking to me at all. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Just knowing that you dislike me enough ignore me completely even though we spend on average two hours a day sitting within four feet of each other. I like knowing that our friendship really meant something. Dude, get over our past relationship, it was over a year ago! I don't know why you're being so pissy lately. I talked to your brother, and you're being a bitch to him too. Neither of us know why you're so mean to us. You ass-whole, you stole your own brother's date. Please feel deep remorse and guilt over this. You are a bitchy person. No wonder why you think no one likes you. It's because you are a flirt. You aren't even a man-whore (at least those guys get some action), metahporically you just play with your food and don't eat it. Worse, you play with it in front of hungry people.
To my coworker: thanks to you for showing me that yes, I can be rejected multiple times. I enjoy the fact that this is how I'm starting my year off. I thought you were something special. You are all talk. I love the talk, but actions are important too. I like how you ignored my calls (3x) and never called me to let me know that you weren't coming. I thought you were either drunk or sleeping, but then 9:00 pm came and went, and I realized you weren't coming at all. You have made me realize that all the guys I've ever made a move on are jerks. So I can assume one of three things: all men are jerks, all the men I like are jerks, or I turn all the men I like into jerks. I've met some nice guys, (I think) so I'm going with one of the two latter. Thanks for making it harder for me to believe in the male gender and giving me time to "build my character".
Fuck off both of you.

Don't take it personally. Some/Many people are jerks, men and women. You have to kiss a lot of frogs..... When I meet a lonely woman, I try to think of guys I know who I could set her up with, but most of them are jerks! I'm good enough for them (ahem) but I'm married.

Sorry you got stood up sweetie. Not all men are jerks but women do seem to be attracted to them. We humans are a strange group of people.

Sushi910, A vast majority of men do suck. There is no way to find the good ones, it's a flip of a coin. The only way to continue with dating is to turn off your emotions. Don't get caught up in feelings or get attached as those are the very tools men use to get their own way. Men are like children ... but your not the one that raised them.
