 Back to the coworker
So, I told you guys about my coworker and how he I thought he liked me.  I'm not sure if he does because I haven't seen him in a couple weeks (he went back to his hometown for Christmas and we work different shifts.)  But before he left, I stayed with him until closing to keep him company.

We talked for about two hours about pretty much everything imaginable.  I like him now.  He still isn't who I think is "my type" but what is type anyways?  He is unlike any person I have ever met in my life.  I told that to one of my friends and she asked me, "In a good way or a bad way?"  Truth be told, it isn't either.  He's just different.  He grew up in Arizona, but is a professional diver (retrieves submerged objects)... okay, from a desert to underwater... He is allergic to lettuce.  Plays the banjo?  Had a job dressing store-front manikins.  Has been in one amature porn film.  He has disliked porn ever since.  Wants to go back to school for a multitude of different interests.  Is Catholic by upbringing, but does not like it.  Thinks organized religion is a manipulation of trust.  Does not use women for sex.  He thinks it's too difficult to want women for that purpose, if all he wanted was sexual fufillment, he says he can do it himself.  He wants children someday, just not now.  He talked about his mom.  Illegal immigrants came up as well; he dislikes them because they stole his mom's car to bus illegals over the border.  He thinks that they should try legal citizenship, or just lay low and not do illegal things.

As you can tell, he was a very open person and I liked talking to him.  There wasn't anything that made me dislike him, but I wonder if all he tells me is true.  At the same time, why would he lie about any of it?  Doesn't it all seem kind of disbelievable, but at the same time you think it must be true or else he is a random and creative weirdo for thinking of all these lies.  (I looked up lettuce allergy, and it's real.  He told me that his lungs closed up, and lo and behold, lettuce anaphlaxis is real.  Some deal with a fat processing protein...)

I like that he's open with sex, and comfortable with himself.  I also like that he thinks that there is more to sex than just personal fufilment.  He mentioned how rediculous it is to have many sex partners.  You have to teach them what you like, and you have to learn what they like, it's a lot of work if you don't genuinely like them.  It's true.  He knows I'm a virgin, he didn't treat it as if it was a good thing or a bad thing, just a thing.

He joked around about wanting to meet my parents to see what they would say if I brought home a white boy as my boyfriend.  I told him that my parents would be more concerned about his age than his race.  My cousins on the other hand, would have a heyday just harassing him.  He says he wants to try it.  I'll let him know once the next big family dinner rolls around.  (too bad he missed thanksgiving, I wish I invited him.)

My orchestra is having a fund-raiser next weekend, and I want to invite him.  I hope he can come!  (I hope he wants to come, is what I really mean...)
