What to do with your Miniture Projects
I have a special spot in my heart for Preemie Babies.  I was born a preemie.  I was 6 weeks early, I weighed 4 lbs and 5oz.  My Mom had a hard time finding clothes to fit and bought baby doll clothes to clothe me.  Recently, My Brother lost his son who was born 20 weeks early.  My nephew only lived a week and was 1lb and 8oz- I believe.  And most recently I miscarried a child at 16 weeks.  My heart has a strong connection to these blessed little children.

Please keep in mind too, that if these little ones pass on life insurance does not cover them.  A child must be 10 weeks old before they can recieve life insurance.  The parents may need help financially as well as your prayers.  When my brother lost his little one he and my sister in law paid nearly $5,000.00 for just the funeral expenses.  I have no idea how much the hospital bills were.  That's a lot of money that most people just don't have on hand especially when you're preparing for a new child.

Your finished Miniture Projects like my Preemie hat or the training socks and mittens I mentioned can be donated to your local hospital for the preemies.  I am certain the parents of these little ones will appreciate them because it's still very difficult today to find clothing that fits these little ones.  My daughter was small 6lbs and 3 oz. and it was very hard to find clothes to fit her.

God Bless.

Thank you for bring this to my attention. I, too was born a preemie, and yet was totally oblivious to this little hardship preemies and their parents face. I know quite a few sweet old ladies at a retirement home that would love to have a project.. I shall let them know.. Have a great day.
