| Whacking, and the emotional consequences

I now have less than forty pages of Children of Cramburg remaining, from which I must delete anything relating to the characters that I'm whacking. Collectively I've done away with ten full Word pages of text, and there's still more to be cut. Already Children of Cramburg stands as my most re-worked story to date. Branchwater had only eight or nine pages removed, and Madeline City has barely lost two pages to the shredder. I'm fearful that the major overhaul of words means not that this third story will be far superior to those before it, but rather that it will be plagued by such problems that merit these major overhauls.
In happy news, I won a free manuscript evaluation in a drawing during an e-party at Rebecca's Reads.com, and Madeline City is currently under scrutiny by someone who will soon return a list to me. I'm hoping that that list contains more kudos than it does WTFs. |
