Time and Noise
A box of artificially chocolate-flavored cereal and a 32 ounce jug of chocolate milk cannot change the fact that I work today, though they do do an admirable job of disguising the fact.

A little less than seven weeks, and then my program will be over. No more getting into the parks for free, no more opportunities to put my insider knowledge to use, and hardly any more chances to be able to appriciate my insider knowledge.

But you know what else? No more being separated from my friends and family, no more freezing to death in the apartment, no more sweating in the rain (it’s weird), no more riding the buses, and no more constant television noise. I think that the single most appriciable factor about going home will be the severe drop in backround and forefront noise. And that is an encouraging thought.
