I fell in love with a girl today
On the long train ride home
She had long blonde hair
And dark designer sunglasses
With bubble gum lips
In her clean, white shorts
and her pale pink blouse
She read her book,
Which was all in french
With one leg draped over the other
I saw the cool summer nights
Lying in her bed
In her underwear,
Which are just plain white.
The reflection of our bodies
Strewn across the vanity mirror
My fingers run through her hair
as she kicks off her slip-ons
coming back from a film
That she'd never even heard of before
I could never let my eyes leave her
Until she got off the train.
