| the boyfriend and the stepdad |
okay so the rules for me, was that when i turned 16, i would be allowed to date. well i tried to tell my stepfather, who has been in my life since i was 2 years old, threw a fit the first time i ever mentioned having a boyfriend and maybe going out to a dance with him. but i had told my stepdad that before i did anything i wanted him to meet this boy, because i want him to like my boyfriend, i wanted my boyfriend to be able to come down and watch football together, something..but my stepfather wants nothing to do with it, he said that he hates me, and wants nothing to do with me, whats so ever, why? i don't know he thinks i'm stupid and irresponsible, but i am told that i act older then my real age, i've had a job since i was 14, old enough to get my working papers, i have good grades, not the best but still not horrible, and my boyfriend has two jobs, plays on the football team and does indoor track, doesn't swear, drink, smoke, do drugs, has great grades, and he doesn't even drink soda,doesn't want to have children until he is out of college and has a good stable job, but my stepfather won't give either of us a chance to prove it to him that we won't be stupid and go and do something that could turn into something bad. i'm out of things to do anymore, he won't hear me out, and i haven't heard a word out of my stepfathers mouth in over two weeks. i don't know what to do..
suggetions?
