| Bad Weather Day |
|
It's really nasty outside. Rainy and cold. It was sleeting this morning and someplaces had snow. It is supposed to start warming up though. Infact, tomorrow and Thanksgiving, it will be in the 50's but cloudy and raining.
Why are we getting all the rain that is needed down south, so badly. I hardly think that's fair. I wonder if we all get some rain barrells and put them on our property and then when they are full. They send a big tank to come around and collect all the water, they can then drive them down south where it is needed.
Since I was a kid, I've always been intrigued by the weather, specifically tornadoes.
I've been a small one that did little to no damage. In 1985, early Easter morning. It blew some shingles off the house and some branches came down.
We've had them touch down in counties and towns not far from us though. The worst was the Mechanicville, NY tornado in '98. It was an F5. I live South of them and we only had really bad thunder storms that day and our power did go out.
On average, we get a tornado watches and warnings a couple times a year here in the Albany, NY region. I don't get too nervous unless it touches down in my town or very near it. True, it is exciting but I just assume watch them on TV or on Youtube.
Right now, i'm looking out one of the office windows and it looks like the sun is out.
That's good, driving at night is bad enough but adding rain only makes it suck more.
