I want to first thank you for taking the time to read my blog. In this blog I plan to express my opinion on one of the thinks I love the most...Sports. This week in sports is the start of the NBA playoffs, the build to the NFL draft, the early stages of the Major League Baseball season, and the heart of the NHL playoffs. I am a huge football fan and this will be the focus of a lot of my articles...however I am an all around fan of sports and will give my opinion on all of them. I want to start with the NBA playoffs and give my first round predictions...after a great season in the NBA with the Western Conference being so strong I think the Lakers, Spurs, Hornets, and Jazz will advance to the second round. In the East I look for the Celtics, Pistons, Cavs, and Magic. These teams are the cream of the cram of the crop and I think they will all move on. Now to the NFL draft, the Dolphins have a tough decision to make with the #1 pick...since no one player is totally head and shoulders above everyone else this draft the Dolphins will have a hard time getting out of this spot and have to decide what they want to build their team on. I think that Jack Long is the safest pick...you can solidify you offensive line and protect the investments you have made in your skill players last year. However, the Dolphins could go for defense and look to Chris Long out of the University of Virginia or Glen Dorsey out of LSU. Chris Long has played for Al Groh at UVA and is familiar with the 3-4 defense while some think that Dorsey is a little more explosive and more of a playmaker. All three of these guys will be impact players next season for the teams that get them. I see 5 guys in this draft that are going to be thrown into the fire early in their careers and will make a difference in the NLF for their teams...these guys are Chris Long, Jake Long, Glen Dorsey, Matt Ryan, and Daren McFadden. I hope you enjoyed my article and I will be posting every week throughout the year. I hope to see you back.
