| Sean Taylor, Redskins #21, shot in his home

It has been reported that Sean Taylor, Redskins Safety #21 was shot in his home early this morning. Allegedly during a burglary/home invasion. He is currently in "extremely" critical condition after reportedly having been shot in the femoral artery which is in the thigh. He was airlifted to a hospital and has under gone surgery. Currently they have not released any other info at the request of Sean's family.
My heart goes out to Sean, his family and friends, his Redskins family and his fans. I am a huge fan of Sean and the Redskins. Have love for him having watched him play for the last few years. I am praying that he will pull through and be alright. How unfortunate and tragic. All we can hope now is that he pulls through and recovers well. His career may or may not be over... hopefully he recovers and can go on to live a good, happy life. What a terrible thing to happen. To anyone. Let alone a fantastic athlete, #1 safety in the NFL right now. Someone who has done a tremendous job since joining the NFL, has been through some media crap withint the last few years and has seemingly brought his life back together. For someone to harm him in this way, to enter HIS home, for whatever reason and to harm him. It's a shame, it's scary and unfortunate.
Again, I am praying that he will be okay. Praying for him, his family, friends and loved ones. I hope that others will pray along with me, no... I know they will!!
Be strong Sean... we are pulling for you buddy!!!

This kind of thing is always tragic, I cannot believe that someone would do this to another human being, it just baffles me...keeps me awake at night too, every noise...ya know?

Yes... it's so awful. What a senseless tragedy. :( I was hoping that he would pull through. Whether or not he would play again was not an issue, just that this young man would be able to continue to live and be a father and here with his loved ones. My heart breaks for Sean's family, friends and loved ones.
