 My Favorites (hijacked from Whitters!)

Leann Rimes:  This girl is amazingly talented, down to earth and beautiful!  She seems to not have been ruined by fame... even though she has been in the business since she was 13.  She has an amazing voice and I love her music.

Brandi Carlile:  Her album "The Story" is amazing... I love her voice, it's so blue-sy and powerful.  I enjoy every single song on this album... it's like taking a trip through your soul if you really listen... and for anyone that's ever been "through" anything... I guarantee this is one that is relatable and good to "bleed" with, or to reflect with.  It will go down as one of my most loved albums forever.

Christina Aguilera- Again with the amazing talent.  Her voice is spectacular. I've been a fan since the beginning, but her album "Stripped" sealed it for me... that album helped me through some very difficult times.  It really showed her talent on so many different levels.  She is extremely creative and I love that she doesn't give two sh*ts about what people think, and that she isn't scared to be real and creative and to express herself. Props to her!

Mariah Carey- She's a little out there at times.  But I still adore her.  She was my "idol" beginning when I was 12 years old.  I have grown up with parents who constantly listened to music, so my taste of music is all over the place and I love it in general.  But I think that she is the reason that I first found solace in music and singing and had a lot to do with making me the lover of emotional music that I am.  She's had a tough life and yet, has done so well for herself from an early age... have to admire how far she's come, and of course that she is loaded with vocal talent.

Joshua Jackson- GORGEOUS.  From all the press and interviews and work that he has done... he just seems so down to earth and he is apparently very intelligent.  It helps that I was in love with his character Pacey on Dawson's Creek and that he was often described as being very Pacey-like.... still, there's just something about him.  Would marry him in a second.  lol!

Sarah McLachlan- Her emotional intelligence and talent... threw the roof.  Her albums are all amazing and her voice is angelic.  A true artist.

Hank Williams Jr-  Not sure where to start!  lol!  He looks to be so much fun... and I have an extreme soft spot for the "good ol boys".  He's been around for so long, overcome so much, created his own sound that has gone down in history as classic and is someone that many artists model themselves after and reach for.  He seems to have not be ruined by fame either... His music is a blast to listen to and he's down home.  Gotta love it.

Johnny Cash- Talk about a "good ol boy".  Another story of struggle and coming out on top and being amazingly talented.  What a life this man led.  I just adore Johnny Cash and his music.  If I could sit down with any celebrity for a day... it would most definitely be him.  RIP Johnny!

Gary Allan- Talk about a tortured soul.  He's so handsome and rugged.  His voice is ridiculously sexy and haunting.  he has the best love songs there are.  He's had an awful last few years with the suicide of his wife... and the songs that have come from that time in his life are heartbreaking yet, breathtaking.  I saw him in concert, front row and was completely mesmerized.

Sandra Bullock- Ever since Hope Floats... she has been a favorite of mine.  I think she is a fantastic actress and again, she seems very down to earth.  Gotta love that in celebrities!

Sarah Jessica Parker- Curteousy of the best show... Sex and the City.  She's great :)

George Strait- Talent, talent and more talent!!!  Love his voice, love his songs and think he is so damn handsome.  Gotta love the little head move and smile he does when singing live.

Casey Affleck- I don't know where this came from.... but something about him in The Last Kiss hooked me to him.

Scarlet O'Hara- Okay, so a fictional character... but she's stubborn, strong willed, a bit of a bitch but I still have to love her.  After all, my Mother has compared me to her many times.  "I can't think about that right now. If I do, I'll go crazy. I'll think about that tomorrow."

Natalie Portman- Intelligent, talented and I love all of her movies and almost all of the characters that she's played.

Tyra Banks- Sometimes she comes off a little fake.  But I still love the fact that she is all for the curvy physique and that she has done so much work trying to make "real women" feel better about themselves!!  Good job Tyra.

Lainey from LaineyGossip.com- my absolute favorite gossip site!  Though, of course I don't always agree with her...(or gossip sites for that matter), I think she is hilarious and witty and envy her talent with writing.  She cracks me up.

Ashley Judd- As an actress, she is another favorite.  As a person, she seems wonderful.  She has pulled herself through hard times in the spotlight, got herself help and has shared her story and what she has learned with the world... not caring what people think anymore.  She does a ton of charity work and I think she really is an inspiration

The Eagles as a group- I grew up listening to their music and love it all.  They are one of the links/reminders to my childhood.

Fleetwood Mac as a group- For the same reason as the Eagles.  And I absolutely love Stevie Nicks.  She's so interesting, and her voice is so different and smokey.  Love it.  She almost got her own "favorite" line.  haha.

"Buffy" from Buffy The Vampire Slayer the series- Okay, Sarah Michelle Gellar lol.  I watched this show in my teens from the time that it started til pretty much the end.  Really there is a lot more going on with this character then you would think if you are not a fan of the show and have watched it as such.  There's a lot more going on under the surface with these characters... and it is one of my go-to's for "couch/tv therapy" because it's relatable and truthful in so many ways.  It's interesting how much real life they fit into this show about fictional monsters and demons.

Denzel Washington- A HUGE fan of his talent as an actor... love his movies.  His acting ability gives me chills and well... he's a hell of a handsome man!

Hmmm... that went well so far... time to get some work done!

To be continued.....
