Well this is my first blog here and this is my first story on this site about my adventures in parenthood. I have just got back from a three week vacation in Minnesota (ohh yea what an adventure that could be). So anyway I took the fam out there because my little brother was getting married and since my family included the ring barer, flower girl, brides maid and the best man I thought it was best to attend this one. Well we arrived and stayed with my parents and it started off fine for the first few days, but then the kids got restless. My step daughter decided that the fish in my fathers fish tank needed a baby wipe before she laid down for her nap so when I went in to get her up i noticed that the fish tank had a thick foam with dead fish and a baby wipe at the top of it. Oh and a great smell that stunk up the room. Then i noticed the curtains were ripped out of the wall. Wow it was like a battlefield. Then after her usual (aka time out) she decided to behave. Well then my son decided it was his turn to act up and beat up my parents dog and his sister. So he got a good helping of the usual. Well after a couple of days of them going back and forth beating each other up terrorizing the cat and dog and my parents, I relized that the usual was not cutting it. So we got creative and made them do some excercise. They did leg lifts and sat in the push up position for awhile and that seemed to sink in. So that is what my whole little story is about the joy of this great way to punish your kids. They get a great work out, and they learn a lesson. You cant hurt them because well they can only go to momentary muscle failure. So yea now I have two little angels again. Take care everybody!
