She shares in your joys and sorrows, but she respects the boundaries. She dresses in a style that enhances her beauty--but does not degrade or ridicule the feminine. Your mom might be having a hard time accepting the change in her life: her daughter is grown up and an adult. She may see herself as "old" and doesn't know how to handle her feelings about that. It may take her a while to sort all that out. It is hard seeing your kids grow up, your family change and sort of "dissolve". A person has to constantly evolve and move on with the flow of life.
