Cool site! I'm Melody Waters! Well, not really, but due to paranoia, I'm going by Melody. =]
So I just got up here to college, and since it's a religious college (I'm a mormon =]), they've blocked myspace and facebook from the internet! Lame, huh? Ugh, it's so annoying. Highschool all over again! But, what can ya do?
Which brings me to this lovely site! Out of boredom (there really is nothing to do in Idaho), I've decided to start a blogging page! I hope I don't suck at it too badly, but I'm sure I'll get better as I go along. =]
Okay. I'm into the arts. Writing (journalism, poetry, stories, etc), music (singing especially!), photography (although all I have is a cheap digicam. haha! oh well), theatre (musical theatre is my favorite!), ETC! It's all great fun! ---In highschool, I was a student-council-girl, too, but now I'm back at the bottom of the totem-pole since I've just started brand-new at college! It's crazy, I tell you! But still exciting!
I've never lived on my own before! I really struggled the first day---crying the entire time! But I miraculously woke up the next morning feeling WAY better (asside from an INSANE dehydration-headache!), and it's all been improving from there! Of course, I'm still super-duper-really-really-insanely-homesick, but I'm sure I can at LEAST last a semester up here, if not two or more. =]
My life has been changing ssssssoooooo quickly since a little while before highschool graduation! I mourned it for a while, but I'm very hopeful for the future, as well! I'm actually trying REALLY hard now to get good grades, because I want to go to grad school one day!
I want to be an english teacher (and maybe do a little theatre teaching), and a mommy when I'm all grown up! I'm active in my church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints), and I'm really trying to live the teachings of the scriptures, and the prophets. =] I love the Lord. He was the One who got me through my horrible first-day trauma. It could have been MUCH WORSE than it was, and I thank Him every day for the blessings He gives me. I'm so glad to know that God loves me, and that I love Him, and that He is watching out for us!
