 Pregnancy Scare!!!
Yesterday, I very nearly died of shock.

My boyfriend's parents were visiting and kindly bought loads of boxes ready for our move tomorrow, and my mother in law started to tell me about how her daughter was getting on in hospital, but then stopped and said she would get her daughter to tell me when she dropped by.

My boyfriend's little sister has had various problems her whole life. When she was born both of her kidneys were on one side of her body, her bathroom facilities weren't working properly, she was a mess, but she got through it. Then recently, when at work, she started fainting.

FIRST - the doctors realised she had to have her appendix out. This was done. Then a week later she faints again at work, SECOND they realise that when they were doing keyhole surgery to get her appendix out, the camera they put inside her to see what they were doing scratched her ovaries, she was then off work for 2 weeks
THIRDLY she faints yet again and they then suggest it's kidney stones. Everyone as you can imagine is getting more and more worried, because no one knows what's wrong with Pan.

So, yesterday when her mom says that Pan will tell me herself what's wrong with her, everyone's all smiley, so I assume she's pregnant.
The miracle of life is beautiful thing, but Pan is only 16. Her boyfriend is 22 and doesn't work, so he would not be able to support her. I'm not criticising people that have had kids that young, so don't take offence, i just believe having kids isn't something you should do until you're older. You need to ensure you're financially capable to do everything for your child, that you will have time for the child to love it, teach it etc etc and you've also got to think if you're 16, in most countries you'd have to give up school/college or your first job to look after a baby full time.

Anyway, I was dreading her possibly being pregnant. Everyone would support her but I know my boyfriend and he dotes on his sister. He doesn't particularly like her boyfriend (none of us do) and this would be his perfect reason to knock his lights out.

Well, she wasn't pregnant, but she does now have 3 kidneys.

How on earth do doctors not pick this stuff up straight away?
