| How do you erase a nightmare from someone's head?! |
|
A few times throughout the day yesterday I called my boyfriend to see how he was and talk about the flat viewing we were having that evening, and I thought he seemed a bit weird.
It wasn't until we met up later, he told me there had been an accident at work where someone had ignored warning signs he had put up there, that I began to understand why he was acting strange. My boyfriend fixes and fits security doors, he had cordoned off his area with tape, and this guy had still stepped over it. As a result, as my boyfriend was testing the door, realising it was faulty, he told the guy not to go underneath it, but he ignored him, and as a result, the door came down hard on his head, proceeded to split his skull open, blood was everywhere and then the police came to question my boyfriend. After 2 and a half hours, both my boyfriends boss and the police realised it wasn't his fault. The guy who's head split open is now in hospital. He will be there for a good while but Doctors think he will be ok.
I am mad at this man for ignoring safety procedures that were put in place and for the situation he has put my boyfriend in. Last night he was so snappy and argumentative with me, and it wasn't until I got him to open up to me, he told me that everytime he closes his eyes he can see the guy lying on the floor with blood gushing from his head. My boyfriend feels guilty over something that isn't his fault. I feel bad because all I could do was hold him and tell him it wasn't his fault. What else could I say to make him feel better?
