| Perfection? |
In Matthew 5:48 it says:
"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."
Now, this doesn't mean to be perfect in your actions and words.
There's no possible way that can happen, only through Jesus Christ we can reach perfection.
Deuteronomy 18:13 Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God
!!!!
I wanted to bring this up being that is All Saints Day and we're celebrating the dead who have risen and are living in the kingdom of God.
Who are now perfect with Him.
I really wish that we could realize that it's not through our actions or words that gets us a place with God in heaven. But it's though trusting in Jesus Christ. I am not a perfect person, no one is.
And all Christians are hypocrites, I'm just going to come out and say it.
I'm struggling with my faith and this is because I'm a hypocrite.
I deserve to not go to heaven just as much as a criminal in jail.
None of us deserve it, because we all sin and we're not perfect.
I saw this bumper sticker once and I always loved it.....
"NEXT TIME YOU THINK YOU'RE PERFECT, TRY WALKING ON WATER"
is what it said, and it's very true....
So please if you read this start to humble yourself and if you think a lot of yourself start putting you're thoughts more toward your God in heaven, and less on human needs, wants, and hunger for perfection.
Because you'll never be fully satisfied with what you receive here on earth.
