 Hun Sovann PratThna
That's my niece's name! =)) No one could ever imagine how happy I am today. My dad travelled all the way from my house to the internet shop to tell me this one piece of good news. I am finally an aunt. =))

Hun is our family name. Sovann is my mother's middle name which she has taken out from her own name during Pol Pot regime to hide her identity. Nothing was very special about her identity, though, as my mom was from a lower middle class family then. However, during the regime, whosever name was long was considered literate and wealthy and thus were more likely to be executed. Sovann means Gold. =) PratThna means Wishes. and together Hun Sovann PratThna, my niece's name! I am just so in love with the name! I find it beautiful and indeed very meaningful. Looking forward to December holiday so that I can go see her. Heard that she is very plump and healthy. Thank God for that! She weighs 3.5kg, same as I did when I first born!!! Hee Hee....=))

No one could ever imagine how blessed I am feeling right now. My dad is doing better, though he is still rather fragile. He has improved! =))
