Olive/Sage/red: This is a limited issue Converse and is still available. The uppers are thin wool material backed by red striped cotton. These are a super fun shoe to wear as are all Converse "Chucks". I like how these resemble a hiking boot and I like the black rubber sole as opposed to the ubiquitous white Converse sole. These also came in a charcoal gray version. Very comfy!
Sizing: I wish these came in 11.5 (I normally wear a size 12 shoe). If you don't know already, Converse run about a half size large but many styles don't come in half sizes, arghhh! I wear boot cut or wide leg pants with these so they dont look so huge on me. Lots of wiggle room for your toes.
Best Feature: Converse have virtually no thickness in the heel. I prefer shoes with less heel because it is so much better for your back and posture (it keeps the hamstrings and calf muscles long). The benefits of "negative heel technology" of Earth brand shoes and New Balance is worth looking into for shoes you have to wear for extended periods of time.
