Day 6
Global citizenship is extremely important. Without global citizens who would stop wars? The people suffering from poverty and disease in less-developed countries would have no one to help them. Natural disasters could wipe out entire populations, for good. It is for these reasons why we MUST have global citizens. You don't need to do a lot to make a difference. You could join a human rights group, and help abolish human trafficking- when women are forced into prostitution- for good. Or simply donate a few dollars to an AIDS group. People and corporations have already done SO much, but is it enough? No global citizenship will never stop. We need globalization to meet our basic needs, such as food and even sometimes shelter when our own homes have been destroyed by the environment or wars.

We should have a great response to the effects of globalization. If we ever stopped caring, would we no longer be a global citizen? No, because in order to be considered a global citizen we must take into consideration EVERYONE'S rights and responsibilities, not just our own country or self's. If people stop helping other nations out our world will slowly fall apart, country by country.
