| Taking Advice from a Friend
|
|
|
I think the whole big magilla back home is on it's way toward the finish line. I'm doing the best I can to take the advice of a friend. To allow my adult children to work out thier own adult problems.
I thought I would be good at this. I gave my kids thier roots and now I'm doing my damnest to allow them to have thier wings. Even though I'm almost 5,000 miles away, I still worry about everything involving them. The fact that this all is centered around my sister doesn't help.
My sister, I have to admit is being unreasonable, immature and unrelenting. Here I am, stuck in the middle and I have nothing to say about what they should do. I think that that is what's driving me more crazy than anything else. I don't have the answers. I'm not there to referee. I can't arbitrate over the phone. All I can do is hope for the best.
I had no idea that anything like this would happen, but still I feel like I made some big mistake. I've felt an overdeveloped sense of responsibility for as long as I can remember. Consequently, I've run into several folks who were more than willing to allow me to do just that. Take the blame for whatever may have gone wrong in the relationship. Sure! It's all your fault, especially if you say so.
I'm trying to grow up, I really am! It's so not easy. So much so that I wish I would have grown up according to my chronilogical age. Wouldn't that be sweet?
I'm working on it.

Sometimes letting people deal with their own problems, takes a great weight of stress off of us.
It is hard to let go of the control.
Truly, they will never start acting like adults....until you let them.
I told you about the sister thing...it all goes back to our sibling spats.
I wish peace on you friend.
Trying times you express here.
