I'm a 43 year old mother of two. My daughter Ashley is 24, my son Kypher is 20. My husband Jon and I have been married for 21 years this November 15.
I spent my twenties and thirties as a hairdresser by day, and a bartender by night. I think this gives me the fabulous gift of tolerance. I haven't worked behind the chair since I was diagnosed with FM, but I miss it it more than anyone would know. I still love the entire industry.
The only profession I would have ever liked to try was writing. That is my pursuit now. I am working on my first novel, and we all know about the first one. It may or may not be published, but I am nonetheless banging away at it. Writing is the one thing that my husband will always allow time for as he believes that someday it will happen for me. He thinks, probably more than I do, that I will be published.
As for my kids, I raised a bonafide genius, and a bonafide herion addict. Both drive me crazy in their own way. I adore them both. As a family, we are in constant change and evolution. Family life is a constant adventure, one that I am thrilled to participate in.
I am Wiccan. And even though I can raise energy, I don't consider myself a Witch persay. With all the catagories that a non-Pagan would like to put us in, many of us do not conform to a label. That's me, too.
I love my life. I love my husband, who is the sweetest person ever. I adore my children that in spite of their differences are equal in my eyes, they will always be my angel babies. |
