Blah. Quite simply, that is exactly how I am feeling. B-L-A-H. What an odd word. Even odder when it describes your mood to a tee. Usually when im in a certain mood, music can help me out. I have songs for pretty much every mood...except blah. I have music for when im really angry, feeling crazy, depressed, pumped up, relaxed, vengeful, ecstatic, hardcore, sexy, calm, childish, emotional...every single mood except blah. You might be wondering what type of song fits blah, well I couldnt tell you. If you ever come across a song that fits blah, for the love of all things in the world, LET ME KNOW.
Such a bizarre day. I was feeling fine, nothing bad happened, it was just odd. Im sure most of you intellectual lovelies on thoughts have had your share of blah days too. Its not nice to deal with. I usually just sleep on it and im fine the next day. I remember this one time, I was in a blah mood and I was with my friend S. She was her normal crazy self and I guess she noticed I wasnt myself. She had been talking non-stop and I was quietly half-listening. I didnt even notice when a note slipped in my lap. I looked down to see a piece of paper with ripped edges. I opened it carefully with no expression. I instantly recognized S's loopy hard penmanship. In clear letters were three words: "Cheer up Sunshine." I couldnt help but grin a little as I looked up and made eye contact with that eclectic friend of mine. She just innocently sipped her drink and raised an eyebrow. She got it right on. Noone has ever cured my occasional blah moods and S got as close as possible. I have no idea why but those three words just did it. Cheer. Up. Sunshine. So simple, yet so effective. I started to slip back into my regular persona and S just waited calmly with a very sad attempt at hiding her obvious amusement. Its so odd that something so simple could snap me back to reality. She didnt have to say or do anything. Such a simple choice of words just worked. So thats my new remedy. Whenever I see a friend who is only half there emotionally I slip them an identical note as the one I received. Those words are like magic. As soon as they process in the readers mind, its miraculous to watch the things weighing them down just slip away. They sit up straighter, they are more present and their auras regain the natural glow. Believe me, the chemistry of those words are like magic.
On the plus side of my blah mood, Sebastian said we should go out next weekend. I havent even decided if I want to or not but it made me feel a little better. Hes really sweet. I dont know him that well yet so I think im gonna take it slow and feel him out a bit first (figuratively speaking). Im cool with just being friends for now, I enjoy his company.
The blah mood is lifting. Some sleep should cover the rest of it. Thanks for putting up with this gross demeanor. I'll promise something more interesting next time. Till then...well....do whatever it is you crazies do.

Hey,sorry to hear you're in a blah mood.Natures here to help. I would take a few shots of vodka and drink until i can't even remember the blah mood. The only problem with that is you get a blah hangover and that's another blah story.(haha) . Here's a poem to make you feel better my friend! THE BIRDS HAVE BEEN FLYING A MILE,SO THEY CAN COME AND MAKE YOU SMILE.JUST DREAM ABOUT THE GOOD THINGS TO COME,SUMMER,FLOWERS AND HAVING FUN.NOW I KNOW YOU'RE FEELING LOW,JUST LET IT MELT AWAY LIKE THE SUN TO THE SNOW.

This is a great post, partly because you made "nothing" interseting. You should just go out with the columbian dude. And as for the music, listen to stuff from the toadies, it's grunge and that's a special genre specific for blah. It's also good for that confused, yet pissed feeling we all get about a week after a crached relation ship.

November: "This is a great post, partly because you made "nothing" interseting." I can honstly say this is the best compliment i have ever received. It made me feel really good :D. Im still trying to see if I want to go out with Sebastian. Lately ive been appreciating the single status. I fucking love grunge. Thats actually what I listened to when I was in the blah mood but it didnt work. It just made me feel even more pissed off and I felt like I needed to smash a guitar or something. Thanks for reading love :]

Ok I'm not joking, NEVER smash a guitar. EVER!!!!
Unless it's a stratocaster, then you can knock yourself out :)

Eeerm hunny, I would never smash a guitar. Why take your anger out on an innocent object when you can take it out on the guilty person? :]

Nah take it out on an in-animate object, thats fine. Just not a guitar.
I'll beg if necessary, they are the most beautiful things ever.

Def Leppards 'Pour Some Sugar On Me'. That always does it for me. Everyone gets those days like you described. That is just such a fun song. You can't help but dance to it. Better days.

Eeerm: Alright bud :]
Faith: I love that song but I find it suits a different mood. Reckless abandon perhaps?

Have a look for Outstayed by Twin Zero.
And the whole guitar thing?
It would have sounded funnier in person :)
