I was riding my bike up the hill as I always did, it was a little different ;I didn’t have Marissa to ride with me, her family went out of town for some carnival that her dad was working at. I was kind of lonely. My mom was the one that told me to go ride my bike and that I could go all the way up to the top of the hill. I was so excited because she hardly ever let.
Going up the hill I began to make out a figure of a girl who looked my age. I had never seen anyone my age on the block before, except Marissa. She was standing in the middle of the road, just standing nothing more or less. I began to think that I was going crazy because there couldn’t have been a real girl there, just a figure of my imagination I assumed; so, I kept riding my bike and took my eyes off her; just as I did I looked up! AHHHHH…. I heard, I almost hit her, she was a real girl. I said sorry and introduced myself. So, did she said her name was Laura and she went on about how she went to Vandalia, that was the same school that I went to and she wasn’t in any of the third grade classes but that made since, she was only in the second. We talk a little more and hung out for the rest of the day. We have been friends on and off ever since.
