Recently opened a hikeing trail in N.Z?
What utter bullshit, Last I hears they didn't want anyone near anyone all the vast lands they owned.
They wanted to close down ALL permanent trails going thru their land that they purchased, knowing that those tracks were there to be had by all who had the time to walk thru.
This is McKenzie country and good riddance to them and all thru that Wanaka area if you are fortunate to get thru there.
It won't be a sad loss to n.z if they have to sell. They'll be glad to see them go.
