 What to do??
I have a contract to do work for the town I live in, and the town authorities are trying very hard to make me incorporate something into it that I DON'T WANT TO DO!!!!  They are only doing it as a favor for a buddy of theirs who is a low down, dirty, rotten, evil, conniving, vengeful SOB, who has an axe to grind with me based on my last name and nothing more.
Yeah, its a very small town with very small town politics.
I went to see a lawyer, and he said, "Why don't you just  quit and tell them to f*ck off?"  He can see what its all about.  Here's the thing though....I don't want to quit. I like the job I'm doing, and I feel like quitting would just be giving in to their underhanded ploy.
I'm not sure what is the right thing to do.  I am consumed by thinking about the situation.  I thought about writing a letter explaining what is going on and distributing it to people in town.  But I don't know if they will 1) care, 2) believe it is true, 3) back me up.
If I quit, I'll be giving up something I like doing.  If I go along with what they want.....oh, every fiber of my being RESISTS the thought of even doing it!
What to do?  Ugh!  I wish the right answer would come to me!!  Within a month I will have to make a decision.....
