Starlight dances over head as the sound of wood crackling from a raging fire and the smell of pine surrounds my senses.
Sounds from a stream flowing on it's endless journey and the rustling of leaves blowing gently in the wind are my only company, as I sit tonight among Natures beauty and contemplate my being.
Many thoughts travel across the vastness of my mind, and I wonder, why do we need the earthly trappings, the riches of the world, when indeed, we are provided all that we require within the confines of Natures wonder.
Beside me crawls a caterpillar and I realize that for it too, Nature has provided. All it's food, it's shelter, and even a plan to change from a rather homely creature into a beautiful butterfly for all to feast upon it's beauty.
Does IT need riches and worldly possessions to be happy, No I say, then why I ask,as Natures most beautifully created exhibit, do we feel that we do?
I don't know, too many questions and not enough time to answer them all.
So, I shall go back to my crackling fire, my starlight above and just be satisified for the gifts which have been bestowed upon me.
