 Th Book Pitch
Okay, it has been a while since I have blogged. I am in the throas of a new job and formulating a book.

So this is a autobiographical book about me and my friends. The names and the places will be changed, but all else will be real and interesting.

It is sort of like Sex and the City and Desperate Housewoves, but with a twist. These are real women in America. They struggle with finances, daipers, and all the crap that goes along with modern marraiges and relationships and worse of all lving in suburbia. The characters are not in glamourous jobs, nor do they have the unlimted time and luxary of fiction.

The protagonist and and narrator, Kayla(me) is a 41 year old divorcee, would had the guts to end a polonged and dead marraige in suburbia. She loves being single, but the dating world is taking its toll. Her best friend and true counterpart, Justina is in the same boat that Kayla was, and is a courageous cancer survivor, who does for everyone but herself, yet she has her secrets. The third character is Kayla's co-worker turned friend and confidant, Lisa. Lisa is a bad girl turned good, who is ready to finally meet the elusive and fictional Mr. Right. The fourth and fifth friend float in and out of this triangle are Lisette, a brillant woman who needs to at the prime of her life do something just for her. She has the perfect marriage and kids, and now wants to have a career. The fifth and what I think is the saddest character is Sheila. Shelia is a bit older and divorcing and estanged from her daughter. It is my hope that by the time I am done writing this book, that all of us will have happy endings for me to write.

So now that you have the characters, here is a peek at the working chapter titles:

1. Kayla and the Cop (Parts 1-6)

2. Kayla and Kent (Volume one and Volume 2 is still in progress)

3. The One at the Bar

4. The Mustang and the Doobie

5. Happy Birthday Kay

6. Lisa and Kay in Jamdown

7. That's it I'm DONE

8. The One at Support Group

9. Kayla and the Knight

10. The Never Ending Break-up

11. Sex, Lies and the Threat of YouTube

12. Zero to 60 in 3.5

13. Old Flame, New Burns

I will post bits and pieces as I write, but not the whole enchilada. I love my job, but want to rake in the bucks to buy a Ducouti and a boat to cruise the Greek isles. Wish me luck that these fab five women live happily ever after.
