even though, we have drifted far away,
I know you are always here to stay,
to brighten my day, I always remember
the last words you used to say:
You are not alone.
You not always just standing on your own.
I always go through the days, bitter and
gray, it is now freezing cold, trapped
here witout your warm hold,
but I remember those words, the words
you said before we went away, the words
that remind me that you're always going
to stay....
You are not alone, you said, but
why I'm I standing on my own,
staring into the cold, trapped
without your hold, I lay here
at night, beginning to cry,
thinking you come, to make it
alright..
You were always there, whenever
no one else cared,
you always held me in your arms,
saying it'll be alright, but now I am
sleeping in restless nights.
But those words come again once more,
to remind me, you're always going to
be here, even when we are far away,
I know you're here to stay, to brighten
my day.
You are always in my heart, even when
it's ripped apart, your voice, your
spirt always gives me courage to face the
world, being a brave girl.
At the end of the day, though you
aren't here, you're still here to stay,
brighten my day, but whenever I am
on my own, and scared, I remember
those final words:
You are not alone....
