I have been working at Tim Horton's for almost three years now. For about two of those years, I was just fine working there and I did not mind the people or tasks. Now, we have a new manager and new people, and I am the baker. I also happen to hate working there now. I do not get along with my manager at all, infact we dislike each other more than we like each other. I can't even stand to be at work with her. She drives me nuts. She is power hungry, obnoxious, in your face, loud, bossy, arrogant, cruel, and she loves to bother my friend K and I. I feel like she has it out for me sometimes. I can be looking at the shelves, checking what I need to make, and she will just start telling me to do things. I can guarantee that she does not do that to our full time baker, who is a thirty-something year old woman, versus myself, who is eighteen. She also singles out K, because another girl, a full timer, could be standing against the counter doing dick all, and K will be too, but she will only yell at K to go do something. It is simply ridiculous. Then, today she takes me into her office and says "Do you have something to say to me?" Oh God. I wish I could have answered that honestly. I said "yes" and told her that I knew she was the boss, but I thought she was being overbearing. Her answer was that if I had a problem with it she can arrange a meeting for myself and the store owner to discuss it. Did I mention that the store owner is her best friend? Oh. My bad. Yeah, so I'm saying regardless of what I say, she is going to do nothing. Then, she continues to say that she read something I wrote about her on facebook. First off, yes, it was stupid of K and I to write about her on each others walls, we should have done it in a private message. But, let me also say that neither K or I have her added as a friend of facebook, and there should be no way she could read our conversations because I have a private profile and so does K, so she should not be able to access our accounts without some very, very serious lurking. So, Ms. So-Clever can just keep her lurking confined to her home and not bring it to the workplace, unless she thinks that that is acceptable. Cause really, that is all she does at work anyways. Anytime I see her office, she is on facebook on the computer at work. Wow. Working hard or hardly working? I am simply so tired of working there and working with her, I am actually contemplating quitting. I only have a few weeks left anyways, but it is bothering me so much now I am thinking maybe I will just look at the student job section on the city website and look for like 1-7 day jobs to do, like washing walls or painting shit just for the money. I MUST GET OUT.
