I must object to the suggestion that Richard Dawkins pokes fun at religious people. He does, I agree, use much humour in his brilliant writings, but is only trying to put into simple words, a version of world events that he believes are true.
Incidently, he is right about just about everything...

Then why don't the rest of the Islamic world reject these people, disown them if necessary, stand up to them, fight them if that's what it takes. Instead, all they do is appease these idiots. Take Al Jezera...

I am a believer,not in any religious beliefs, but in the ability of humans to confuse life with them. I am also a happy, god-less person. There are plenty for improvement in my life but none that could improved upon by a belief in god. That said; 'whatever floats your boat'

I can assure you that god is certainly not in my heart and that mercy, forgivness and love are things available to all, regardless of their religious postion.

Perhaps Muslims (the so called moderate, normal ones) should start defending their faith agaisnt the rants of Bin Laden and his cronies. If Muslims keep quiet they run the risk of others assuming they must agree with extremists. If Bin Laden etc. are wrong in their take on Islam then why don't...
