why the government pisses me off
i can't stand any of the presidential candidates and am not voting in this fall's election, because i feel that they are bigots and liars and are only motivated by money. not to mention the fact that i think running a presidency campaign at all (or any political campaign, for that matter) is a complete and total waste of money! it's pretty sad that people want to blow millions of dollars just to have a position of power in this country. i mean, no government official ever does anything to help Americans!

disability and social security retirement benefits are meager at best, and social security benefits are supposed to run out by 2020 anyway. hmm, i wonder why... all because the government doesn't know how to manage its money properly. it is trillions and trillions of dollars in debt and is literally buying time until some other country decides to take over.

the American healthcare system is a complete disaster. its purpose is to essentially give the best care to the rich and the worst, most substandard care to the poor. how is that a democracy? how does that figure into the equality factor? the general attitude with doctors is, "well, you're poor, so we know you can't afford to give us the big bucks.... BYE!" ... whereas on the other hand, doctors have a penchant for the affluent and think, "oh yeah, you're rich... we're going to make sure we take extra good care of you, so you ultimately will survive longer and therefore will bring us an insane amount of money that we can waste on anything from Jaguars to diamonds."

i mean really, when you think about it, that's what it comes down to. we're a society that, without a doubt, adopts the mantra "it's all about survival of the richest". we are meant to feel ostracized for not making enough money, or God forbid, depending on the already weak government for our income due to a disability that we didn't choose to have in the first place. in essence, our government is just waiting for all the "weakest links" (a.k.a. the poor folks) to become extinct so they can focus on the rich who will be a permanent boost for the economy, which in turn boosts the government's income and gets rid of their debt. all because of a drunken love of power.

i don't know who came up with this, but i once heard a quote that goes, "when the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace." think about that the next time Barack Obama tries to win you over with his empty, meaningless words.
