| Suddenly we heard 3 gunshots

Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
As the deadline quickly approaches for me to find another nearby abode, I've been asking God to give me more of an eternal perspective, and He has. I don't put so much emphasis or worry into being comfortable in this world anymore because I know I am just passing through. Even if I live to be 80 or nearly 100 like my grandma did, it is just a second in time, compared to eternity.
So today my friend and I were near a little lake, sitting on a bench to pray. The colorful Fall leaves were swirling to the ground in concert with our whispers to God. The sunlight filled the leaves on the tree with illumination. The balmy breeze kissed our hearts while reminding us that the wind of the Spirit was there.
Suddenly, we heard 3 gunshots very close by. We looked up and everyone in the entire area was gone, except for this couple. They were standing at the lake -shooting.
The guy was shooting right into the lake. He and the woman then laughed ,turned around and started to walk in our direction, looking right at us. My friend and I just sat there, not moving anything but our lips, while praying for God to send His angels to protect us.
When the guy did not get any reaction from us, he turned around and walked back to the lake and shot his gun 3 more times. As quickly as he and this woman showed up, out of no where, they were gone.
My friend and I sat there for awhile longer, turning our prayer into thanksgiving to God for another day of life that could have so easily ended in that one second in time.

At times like this we appreciate the Love of our Saviour with Joy and Thanksgiving in our hearts
