Officials in the Philippines have put the northern province of Cagayan on the highest storm alert, as another typhoon heads towards the battered country.

Last month I spoke at a church about my desire to go on another mission trip the Philippines. The night before I spoke, a deadly storm hit the Philippines and many lost their lives. Those that were left behind are plagued with disease from stagnate flood waters that still exist. Now another huge storm is coming to the already devastated country. My sister is there, and so far she is safe because her base is on higher ground, thankfully.
As I prepare to go next month, I realize that the storms I may face while there are no different than the ones that we face in life everyday. I must live by faith and not by sight or I will not want to go. But the hearts of people are now more open than ever. How can they hear without someone to preach the gospel of truth to them.
I know that if I just keep my eyes on Jesus, then I can face whatever comes my way.
25During the fourth watch of the night Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. "It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear.
27But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."
28"Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water." Matthew 14
Typhoon Lupit is expected to hit the town of Aparri at 0500 (2100GMT), with gusts of 195km/h (121mph).
Hundreds of families have left the area and soldiers have been deployed, along with tons of food aid.
The country is reeling from back-to-back storms that caused landslides and floods, killing more than 850 people.
