I've been thinking about the things I lack in my unfinished training ground, and I found this familiar passage, the only positive one on "lack," and saw it in a whole new light.
1 Corinthians 1: 7 Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. 8 He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.
It is so comforting to know that even though we are all a work in progress, we will not lack the gifts that are required for the calling we have received, whatever that calling may be.
Not only that, but He is faithful to keep us strong to the end, as long as we abide in Him. God never ceases to amaze me!
Bless you all!

Thank you. It is a joy to share my thoughts and have people get it. Many many times my blogs are misinterpreted or people seem to read between lines that are not even there . I guess it is called bloogers remorse. But it is not remorse on what I write as much as their misinterpretation. I guess it is something written words are so often subject to. So once again, I say it is a joy to me when people get what I really mean.

The gifts are there, we just have to abide in Him, who, through His light, allows us to see those gifts that we might partake of them. Thank you Sheryl. Every day, I hear the words, "Abide in me." Your sharing your Christian thoughts is an act of abiding in Him. Amen!
